hey guys, after a 11 year hiatus i decided to purchase an 87 T from a member at turbobuick.com.
after getting it home it has started running stupid....
I started getting some help on a FB GN page and i thought the problem was fixed, but it came back.
here is what is done to the car already
1987 Turbo T, Gun Metal Grey, TA49, 42.5# injectors, Scan Master 2.1, Walbro 340 pump, Racetronix hot wire kit, 3" TH Downpipe, 2.5" Hooker exhaust, Accufab Adjustable FP Regulator, CK Performance Transmission, K&N cone filter, SMC Alky non-progressive, Turbo Tweak Alky Chip, Adjustable Waste Gate Actuator, 3" lt1 MAF, Translator, Powerlogger.

here are the things i have already checked or changed.
delco plugs, fuel filter, new MAF, 3 different coil packs and modules (1 borg warner and 2 ac delco), chips, and i have a non alk coming from eric at TT, i have redone all the grounds as i found 2 of the black/white stripe wires not crimped properly and pulled apart from the ground extender install done by the previous owner. i also added a 8ga wire from the neg battery post to the stud on the extender, both fenders and to 1 of the studs on the module where it mounts all to make sure everything has a good ground. i have checked to alternator output at idle and under load with a dmm and it stays between 14.2v - 13.7v, i have checked spark output and it is good, fuel pressure is set at 43# line off and when coming into boost it was going up to 65# and i was told boost was around 22# so i have lowered the boost level to 15# by fuel pressure of 55# since i think my boost guage is off. but fuel pressure stays steady.

here are the problems i am having (all intermittent)
rough idle, o2 levels all over the place from 000-850, iac counts range 20-68 , idle is erratic, then when driving at cruising speeds it will just cut out and gets progressively worse.
but other times it runs pretty good.

i got to searching the sellers username here and i have come up with these 3 threads and it seems these are some of the same problems he has had.

can anybody steer me in the right direction on getting it straightened out?

thanks in advance for the help!!!

Oh yea. While you're replacing those old fillers. pop the cap off your cam sensor and see if the tab broke off the wheel and lets it spin.

While you're in there, you may need a new Spoolfool one piece spoiler, to set your drink on while you're sorting out that idle problem.

What AC Delco plugs do you have? Gap?
What IC? (not that it really matters. I just like to see what people are running;)).
Get a Razor's alky and be done with it. It's not worth risking your engine on.
Eric's TT chips are great. Very cool dude too.

Don't worry about the O2s on the scanmaster at idle. It's worthless. You're not putting enough heat to that thing to get a good number.
The only time you can get a half way decent narrow band O2 number is at WOT. Even then, the number will be creeping up as it heats.
The more info you can give us, the more we can help.;)
So, does your car need front fillers, rear fillers, or both?
Also, What does your little sister look like? Pics?

Don't worry about the condensation coming off the turbo. It's just crying cuz you haven't driven it lately. :(
    So, is the car fixed?
Also, Congratulations. I talked to Al and Biscuit. They say that both of your sisters are invited to the next T6P party. ;)

    Any MAL codes?
You sure the cam, crank sensors are good?
    Try another ECM?
Did one of your sisters steal the screens out of the MAF to use in their crack pipes?

In your video. The engine temp was only at 158 degrees. How does it run once it warns up?

i replaced the crank sensor, cam sensor im pretty sure is good. whats the best wat to test them?
maf screen is there, but them bitches stole all the screens out of the faucets.....lol
it has a 160 stat and fans are on a switch, it doesnt get above 170......but it still runs the same
have to order another ecm......nobody close has a known good ecm i can test with.....so im at the mercy of the a1 carodne remans :(

Take the cap off the cam sensor. See if the small tab broke off the reluctor (sp) ring that keeps it from turning. What happens is that sometimes the ring will be in the proper position and the car will run fine. Sometimes the ring will be in another position that will throw things off.
Do you have a translator on the MAF? Did it get full of water? Check the connections.
What are your sister's favorite interests? I know that I've seen them somewhere. Did they go to Harvard?
